Scheduled maintenance
Interval service by hour meter — engine, hydraulic, slew ring, cab and attachment. We track your intervals so a missed 500-hour service never turns into a 5,000-hour problem.
Heavy equipment & diesel service · Nebraska Panhandle
Field and shop service for material handlers, scrap-yard equipment and the trucks that haul what they load. Diesel, hydraulics, electrical and telematics — from a shop that runs its own iron every day.
Material handlers & heavy equipment
A material handler that isn't loading is costing you tonnage by the hour. We service mobile and stationary material handlers, excavators and yard equipment — diesel, electric and hybrid — with OEM procedures, quality parts and technicians who work in scrap yards, not around them.
Interval service by hour meter — engine, hydraulic, slew ring, cab and attachment. We track your intervals so a missed 500-hour service never turns into a 5,000-hour problem.
Pumps, main valves, boom and stick cylinders, hose fabrication on site. Pressure testing to spec, contamination control and fluid analysis on every job.
Diagnostics, DEF and DPF service, injectors, cooling systems and in-frame rebuilds on the engines that power material handlers and excavators.
Control-system fault tracing, joystick and sensor calibration, harness repair, and electric-drive systems on plug-in and battery machines.
We read your machine's telematics before we roll — fault codes, hours and duty cycle — so the tech arrives with the right parts the first time.
Orange-peel and clamshell grapples, magnet generators and controllers, quick-couplers and rotators — serviced alongside the carrier.
Machines we service
Compact yard handlers through steel-mill class machines — mobile, crawler, rail-mounted and stationary — plus the excavators, loaders and shears working alongside them.
Field service
A 100,000-pound handler doesn't go to the shop. Our service trucks carry hydraulic hose and fittings, diagnostic laptops, lifting gear and a stocked parts bin for the machines we see most, so most repairs finish where the machine sits.
Coverage from Scottsbluff
Truck & fleet
Monument Diesel began as a way to keep our own trucks on the road. That fleet still comes through the bay every week, alongside owner-operators, ag haulers and regional fleets who need a Class 8 shop that answers the phone.
About
We run trucks, load scrap and fix what breaks. That is why a yard's downtime feels like our downtime.
Monument Diesel sits off Highway 71 and 92 on the edge of Scottsbluff, named for the bluff you can see from the shop door. We started out of necessity — keeping our own fleet moving when the nearest dealer was a state away — and grew into a full commercial diesel shop serving the Panhandle and beyond.
Moving into material handlers was the natural next step. The same customers who trust us with their trucks run material handlers in their yards, and the same skills — diesel, hydraulics, electrical, telematics — apply. We are investing in training, OEM tooling and parts inventory to service those machines the way the factory intends.
